Your Frequently Asked Questions, Answered
How much does an elevator cost?

Our entry level resident elevator pricing starts at just under $40K for two stops.

Where is the best place to put my elevator?
Where you choose to put your elevator will depend on your needs, whether the installation is part of a remodel or new construction, and your budget. Designing for the home elevator from the start can make a big difference in its function. We can identify any design issues or make suggestions for layouts that can significantly increase the quality of the final product as well as save costs.
How long does the entire process take, from sales inquiry to installation?

The entire process can take 12-14 weeks once we receive all items needed to place the elevator into production. Items needed are: signed drawings confirming your hoist way measurements, cab choices and unit in production payment.

Do I need an inspection?
It’s best to check before you start the process. Residential elevators do not require an inspection, however most cities or counties will require your General Contractor to pull a permit.
How much room do I need for the elevator?

Our elevators are custom made to fit your home. We have designed and installed residential elevators as small as three feet wide and four feet deep. For a more detailed idea of how much room is required for your lift give us a call.

Do I need a machine room?
Yes, we require a minimum of 42 inches wide and six feet of head clearance, we also need at least three feet in front of the equipment per the standard electrical code. The closer the machine room is to the hoist way the better the ride. Elevator manufacturers suggest nothing over 20 feet.
What kind of warranty is supplied?
Parts warranty provided by the manufacturer is for a period of one (1) year. ACME Home Elevator has extended the parts warranty by two (2) years for a total warranty of three (3) years, subject to ACME Home Elevator servicing the equipment.
What about service and maintenance?
The New Installation Full Maintenance Program is a two (2) year program that gives you two (2) comprehensive maintenance examinations and lubrications per year. Unlimited regular time emergency call backs are included as well.

Client Testimonials

At present, I am still able to walk up and down the stairs but carrying heavy objects upstairs is quite difficult and the chair lift has solved that problem. ACME was chosen because a competing firm said that what I had requested couldn’t be done. ACME proved that, in fact, what I had reqeuested could be done and done well! Thank you for your service!

MRS. VETTER

“We’re just now completing a project that has run for 10 years. Without looking, my guess is that we’ve been dealing with Acme for 8 of the 10.All along the way, they’ve been great. Scott Leebrick, the sales guy was straight-forward and straight up from the beginning. Wayne Parker was anchor-man and complete integrity all the way through. The guys who did the installation ran into problems – a car accident with a company vehicle was in there.
Wayne Parker stood by his word all the way; he sent Jesus Sanchez and Anthony Vierra to tune up the completion.
Our experience with Acme has been the best – especially with Scott, Wayne, Jesus and Anthony – especially with Wayne Parker. Thank you.”

VAUGHN MCILRATH

“What a blessing each of you has been to our family. We put a great deal of prayer and thought into purchasing a stair chair. Each of you have shown our family kindness, courtesy and give us professional service. Please remember to stop and visit anytime you’re in our area!! We would so enjoy seeing you.”
